GA5 is an intermediate model from the GA series of acoustic guitars made by Taylor. This series features grand auditorium models with no electronics installed. Also, the compulsory features include tuners made by Taylor and a combination of satin and gloss finish upon the natural colored body. GA5 is no exception and has all of these features. Back and side panels of the body are made of mahogany, while the top is made of cedar. Cedar, though a favorite of nylon-stringed guitars is slowly gaining the trust of steel-string players. Top is bound in ivoroid binding and it is equipped with abalone rosette. Bridge is made of ebony and it features a belly shape. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it`s topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard.
