DG-250 is the basic model of the Gitane Acoustic series from the Saga Music catalog. It comes with a famous Selmer-Maccaferri body made with single cutaway and fully acoustic construction. Selmer-Maccaferri guitars were first made in the first half of the 20th century, and thanks To Django Reinhardt and other jazz musicians, have gained popularity and stuck around `till this very day. Regular steel-stringers and classicals are still more popular, but selected few manufacturers keep the flame burning. DG-250 comes made of rosewood back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Bridge section sports the two-part construction. Bridge in the front is made of rosewood and it`s followed by a trapezoid tailpiece. Neck is made of mahogany and it`s topped with a 21-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
