BR-183A is the flagship of the Historic Craftsman series and it comes as an orchestra model with non-cutaway design. Also, it is fully acoustic, as Blueridge decided not to install any pickups or preamps onto this model. BR-183A is available only in natural color with high gloss finish. Hardware installed on the headstock includes a set of six tuning machines with gold plating. Body of this model is made of rosewood back and side panels with spruce sound board on top. Top panel of this model is equipped with abalone binding, tortoise shell pickguard and abalone rosette. Bridge and fingerboard are both made of ebony. Bridge features a bone saddle, while the 20-fret fingerboard has a 1.75" wide string nut. Neck on this model is made of a single piece of mahogany.
