AM100VS is the only currently available mandolin in Mitchell Guitars` catalog. It is an A-style eight-stringer, with gold-plated hardware, fully acoustic construction, as well as elegant styling. The selling price hovers around $150, making this model the perfect choice for all musicians who want to pick up bluegrass or folk music. AM100VS offers a non-cutaway body, standard 14" scale, Mitchell`s own stock hardware, and fully acoustic construction (no electronics). The color palette has only one option - Vintage Sunburst (full body and neck binding, real abalone inlays, gold-plated tuners). Core construction features include mahogany back & sides (laminated), spruce soundboard (solid, two-piece), mahogany neck (1.125" wide at the nut), and 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Other important appointments include a rosewood bridge and gold-plated mandolin tuning machines.
