00 models are among the smallest standard body contours in the industry. They are bigger than parlor and 0-sized guitars, but in the time of their introduction in 19th century, 0 and 00 guitars were considered large contours. Martin keeps 00 models throughout the catalog as valuable alternatives for players who find dreadnoughts too big. This particular 00 is equipped with a non-cutaway body made entirely of mahogany. Bracing within the body is also made of it. On the outside, body is decorated with black binding, tortoise shell pickguard and single circle rosette. Mahogany is also used for the neck, which forms a base for a strong, deep-voiced and warm tone. Belly-contoured bridge and 20-fret fingerboard are made of rosewood. Hardware is plated in chrome on this one.
