With Artwood series already being involved with vintage acoustics, Artwood Vintage had to offer something really special. And it did. It still does. It is oriented towards the pre-electric era acoustics. Some of them even come with small parlor bodies, but all feature luxurious styling. AVNZ15LTD kicks off with a non-cutaway parlor body made of ziricote and spruce. Back and sides are ziricote while the top is spruce. This combination gives a pretty similar tone to the more conventional East Indian rosewood/spruce combo. Not quite as deep as rosewood, Ziricote excels in crisp delivery which brings it a bit closer to ebony. Spruce adds sharpness and balance. Visually, the result is just as stunning, with ziricote`s deep brown color similar to Brazilian rosewood and rich grain patterns. Mahogany neck is attached at the 12th fret and rocks the standard soft V profile. On its top, Ibanez installs an 18-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Custom inlays across the frets and bone nut are also featured on the fingerboard. There are no electronics installed on AVNZ15LTD and none are offered as options. Vintage-styled rosewood bridge, rosette made of abalone and gold-plated Grover tuners complete this gorgeous parlor.
