AVN5 is of four models Ibanez has introduced this January into the popular Artwood Vintage series. Other models include one more parlor, one grand concert and one dreadnought. All models, including the AVN5, are fully acoustic, featuring no electronics installed on or within the body. They`re made for strictly acoustic enjoyment, just like the golden age acoustics (acoustics made before the rise of amplification and electronics) which served as Artwood Vintage series creators as chief source of inspiration. AVN5 comes in with Open Pore Natural finish and simple, charming styling. AVN5 features a regular-sized body (19-1/2" length, 14-1/4" width and 5" depth) made exclusively of solid mahogany (back, sides and the top). Thin and discreet aged binding graces both the top and back panels. Single-circle rosette follows the suit. There is no pickguard on the top. The neck is also made of mahogany. It is attached at the 12th fret and rocks a rounded profile. On its top, there is an 18-fret fingerboard made of rosewood (1.69" nut, 15.75" radius and somple dot inlays). Fixed rosewood bridge with a compensated bone saddle and chrome-plated open-gear tuners complete the specs list.
