AVM10 belongs to the brand new Artwood Vintage Thermo Aged series. The series will be officially unveiled at the Summer NAMM 2016 in Nashville, TN. It is a six-piece series, made up of dreadnought, parlor and grand concert models. All are fully acoustic and feature varying combinations of aged tonewoods. Some of the models (the ones with number 10 in their names) have both the back and top panels aged, while the "9s" only have aged tops. The aging process Ibanez applies to Thermo Aged models consists of heating the wood in the vacuum to speed up its drying and maturing.
AVM10 is one of three "10" models in the series lineup. It comes with a non-cutaway grand concert body with flat top and dovetail neck joint. Back and sides are made of mahogany (back is solid), while the top is made of solid spruce. Both the top and the back were Thermo Aged. The neck is made of mahogany and it features the standard soft-V profile in the back. On its top, there is a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard (1.77" bone nut, custom designed inlays, 15.75" radius). Other major features include a rosewood bridge with compensated saddle, X bracing and Grover tuners.
