AVD10 belongs to the brand new branch of Artwood Vintage series - the classy Thermo Aged line. Thermo Aged line utilizes a special type of heating and drying in vacuum, to give the new guitars tone of several decades old instruments. Torrefaction and baking are the commonly used terms for the process. other than the aged tonewoods, models of the Thermo Aged series feature vintage looks, vintage build and completely acoustic construction. All six models, including AVD10, are completely acoustic, featuring zero electronics. Brown Violin Sunburst, Natural and Open Pore Natural color options are available. AVD10 is a non-cutaway dreadnought guitar, made with rosewood back & sides and solid Sitka spruce top. Back and top are (as are backs and tops of the other two "10" models) are aged, while the sides are regular laminated rosewood. Brown Violin Sunburst color scheme, together with tortoise pickguard and creme binding, gives AVD10 that traditional vibe. The neck is made of mahogany (series standard feature) and is attached to the body at the 14th fret. On its top, there is a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with custom designed inlays, 1.69" wide bone nut and 15.75" radius. Fixed rosewood bridge and die-cast tuners complete the specs list.
