Artwood range accounts for a vast majority of Ibanez`s acoustics. The main line made its debut more than a decade ago and has diversified into several distinct branches over the time. As of 2018, the main Artwood line is still the biggest and the most popular one, though the relatively recently introduced Thermo Aged line is quickly catching up. The new 2018 lineup of the Thermo Aged line brings a multitude of new and updated models, including the affordable AVCL9. The reincarnated lefty is available only in Open Pore Natural. Main features and appointments include a non-cutaway GC body (all-mahogany construction, aged top), a mahogany neck (14th fret joint, satin finish), a 20-fret ovangkol fingerboard, a fixed bridge also made of ovangkol, and open-gear tuners.
