AEG series is known around the market as one of the finest series with short-scaled acoustic guitars (models from this series are fit with 25" scales, as opposed to the 25-3/5" standard of the Ibanez catalog). Also, AEG models are fit with a lot thinner bodies in order to make the player more comfortable (especially if a player has shorter stature and shorter arms). For 2014, one model is being added tot he series lineup, the improved and updated version of the famous AEG240. The most prominent features of this model are found in it`s electronics department. Besides the standard Fishman Sonicore pickup installed under the saddle and sound hole-mounted Fishman Sonitone preamp, this model has a USB output located next to the standard 1/4" jack at the bottom of the body. This enables the players to hook their guitar directly to the computer/tablet/laptop and start recording right away. Mahogany back and sides and flamed maple sound board comprise the single-cut body of this outstanding six-stringer. Neck is made of mahogany and is attached to the body with a 14th fret dovetail joint. Rosewood bridge with a compensated saddle and 19-fret rosewood fingerboard complete the specs.
