HZ series from Hofner deals with classical acoustic guitars made with non-cutaway and completely acoustic construction. These basic, standard classical nylon-stringers come in five variations and HZ 27 has one of the higher ranks in the series` lines. It comes with a non-cutaway body made of rosewood and cedar. Rosewood is in the back and on the sides and cedar sits on top as the sound board. This combo is very popular with nylon-stringed guitars. Top panel is the best place for manufacturers to decorate the guitar for it is the first thing people see when somebody plays in front of them. This top has elegant binding and classical rosette. Pickguard is not installed on this model. Neck i made of mahogany, while the bridge and 19-fret fingerboard are made of rosewood.
