Models from the Classic Design Series are made to be affordable and to offer great value for the money. Though, laminated, bodies of these guitars are durable and produce great tone. Within the roster, there are both acoustics and acoustic-electric guitars with Fishman electronics. CD-280S is one of the upper intermediate models in this series and it comes with non-cutaway dreadnought-shaped body. Back and side panels are made of laminated rosewood, while the top is made of spruce. Natural binding, gloss finish and tortoise shell pickguard complete the top. Rosewood bridge is equipped with compensated saddle. Electronics are non-existent on CD-280. Neck is made of maple and it features a set-in joint. This neck is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood.
