Breedlove Voice CM Review

Voice Series from Breedlove brings six new acoustic-electric models in various shapes, all amplified by brand new L.R. Baggs Anthem Tru Voice microphone/pickup combo. The aim of the collaboration was to create guitars and amplification which would give the most natural and faithful reproduction of acoustic tone when amplified. The main objective is fulfilled with this combo, as these guitars have some of the most realistic amplified tones ever. Both Breedlove and L.R. Baggs invested their top craftsmen and materials into the Voice series. This new system utilizes the microphone for the vast majority of guitar`s tonal range with pickup adding the low end. Voice CM is an acoustic-electric guitar with a CM-shaped cutaway body. It is made of East Indian rosewood back and sides with a solid sitka spruce top. The top is flat and bound in several layers of binding. Also, it features a high gloss finish. Pickguard is omitted from the specs list. The bridge on this Breedlove acoustic-electric is made of ebony and it comes with a familiar shape. It sports black string pins and white saddle. The neck on CM is made of Honduran mahogany and it is bolted to the body. Joint is placed at the 14th fret. Ebony fingerboard comes with 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and 1-3/4| bone string nut. Apart from these specs, Breedlove Voice CM also features chrome-plated Grover tuners and gloss finish. The MSRP is set at $3,999.
