Breedlove Revival D/SMe Review

Breedlove`s Voice series consists of six models. Three of those are modern designed and shaped models, and three are labeled with Revival tag. This tag means that these models are inspired by prewar acoustic guitars and they emulate the style, tone and feel of these guitars. Revival models also feature revolutionary electronics made by L.R. Baggs. The system is called Anthem Tru Voice and it consists of a pickup and a brilliant new microphone with sorted feedback issues. Microphone is used to cover for the most of the guitar`s range, while the pickup steps in to cover for the low end of the tonal spectrum. Revival D/SMe comes with a non-cutaway dreadnought shape and it`s body is made of Honduran mahogany back and sides with a solid sitka spruce top. This flat-top features tortoise binding, tortoise pickguard and vintage triple-circle rosette. Another retro feature is the ebony bridge made of ebony, which features a belly shape, black string pins and white saddle. The neck on this model is made of Honduran mahogany and it is bolted to the body at the 14th fret. This neck is topped with a series standard - ebony fingerboard. It sports 20 frets, custom 12th fret inlay and 1-3/4" bone string nut. Other features include prewar X bracing, nickel-plated Grover tuners with open gears and gloss finish. The MSRP for Revival D/SMe is set at $3,999.
