Breedlove Revival 000/SMe Review

000/SMe brings past and future together as it incorporates both the vintage styling and revolutionary electronics from L.R. Baggs. Prewar scalloped bracing, vintage-styled headstock and other appointments are countered with Anthem Tru Voice microphone/pickup system which brings an unprecedented level of faithfulness to the original unplugged tone. L.R. Baggs craftsmen gave their maximum effort in order to create this fantastic amplification system. For mid and high tones microphone is used as a means of amplification, but for the low end pickup also kicks in. The Voice series consists of six models and 000/SMe is the first of three Revival models. It comes with a non-cutaway 000-shaped body made of Honduran mahogany back and sides with a solid sitka spruce top. The top is bound in tortoise binding and equipped with tortoise pickguard. This glossy top also features a triple-circle sound hole rosette. The bridge on this model is made of ebony and it comes with a vintage-styled pyramid shape. Black string pins are combined with a white saddle. Neck on this Breedlove is made of Honduran mahogany, it is bolted to the body at the 12th fret and topped with an ebony fingerboard. The fingerboard is equipped with a standard number of 20 frets with a custom 12th fret inlay. String nut is made of bone and it measures 1-3/4" in width. Other features include nickel-plated Grover tuners, prewar scalloped X bracing and high gloss finish. The MSRP for 000/SMe is set at $3,999.
