Ard Ri 2-800 is the most expensive of twelve models which make up the luxurious Ard Ri series. The secret to its $11,650 starting price is in generous use of Brazilian rosewood, which is both expensive and available in scarce supply.
Ard Ri 2-800 is a flat-top steel-stringer, with spruce top (Engelmann and European spruce alternatives are available) and Brazilian rosewood back and sides (solid). Pear wood binding is found around the back, top and fingerboard. A multitude of rosette inlay options is also available. Standard mahogany neck (14th fret dovetail joint) can be ordered with several different profiles, though it`s always topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Fishman, K&K and LR Baggs pickups can also be optionally installed. Fixed rosewood bridge, Avalon AXE bracing and gold-plated tuners complete the specs list.
