Along with extensive steel and nylon-string acoustic ranges, Yamaha`s catalog also features a small line of "silent guitars" dubbed SLG. The currently available lineup of the SLG series features four models, three nylon-stringers and one steel-stringer. the basic gist is that these "acoustic" guitars feature only body centers and frames, relying solely on electronics for amplification. SLG200NW is one of the nylon-stringed models. Main features include mahogany body center, combined rosewood & maple frame, standard 25-9/16" scale, Yamaha`s own electronics (combination of an under-saddle pickup and a microphone), and hyper-modern styling. Natural (w/gold hardware, gloss finish) is the only available color option. Other notable features include a mahogany neck, 19-fret fingerboard made of ebony, fixed rosewood bridge (classical style), and classical tuning pegs.
