Acoustic guitar department rises above all other and represents the main pillar of the guitar and bass section of the Yamaha catalog. For 2013, Yamaha has unveiled numerous updates for the acoustic department and APXT 2 is one of them. This short-scaled acoustic-electric comes with a single-cut body made of meranti back and sides with spruce on top. This combination is not frequently used on full-sized and upscale models, it is preserved for the budget-friendly segment. Top panel on this model features white binding and a big oval sound hole. 3/4-scaled APST 2 features system 68 electronics with a side-mounted preamp. Neck is made of nato and it sports a dovetail joint. On it`s top, Yamaha installs a 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. Dot inlays and standard 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard.
