Yamaha`s APX series main concern is playability of it`s models, thus a thin line design and slim, comfortable necks. The APX series models are acoustic-electric and the APX500FM is a cutaway jumbo guitar with a body made of maple top and maple back and sides. It is available in old violin sunburst and ocean blue burst with gloss finish. The bridge is made of rosewood with black pins and white saddle. Electronics consist of a piezo pickup and a preamp with a tuner and side-mounted on-board controls. The neck is made of maple with a dovetail joint at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 22 frets, white dot inlays and 1-11/16" synthetic bone nut. Chrome plated hardware, creme binding and die-cast tuners complete the spec.
