AC1M belongs to Yamaha`s A series with which Yamaha intends to conquer the American market of affordable acoustic-electric guitars. There are eight models within the series and they all have very similar basic spec sheets. AC1M starts off with a single cutaway body made of mahogany back and sides with a spruce top. The top is bound in natural binding, finished in gloss and topped with a plastic pickguard. Also, the sound hole features a double circle rosette. Bridge is made of ebony, and it comes iwth a belly shape. Electronics consist of an under-saddle pickup and a side-mounted preamp. The neck is made of mahogany, it`s equipped with a standard shape and a dovetail joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and it comes with 20 frets covered with dot inlays.
