It is a tradition at Taylor Guitars to release a band new Limited Edition line every Spring and Autumn. For years now, Taylor luthiers have created astonishing acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars in this section. Mostly, these creations were directly inspired and based upon already existing guitars from the standard section of the catalog. This time around, one of three series introduced within the Fall 2012 Limited Edition is Presentation Series and PS14ce-FLTD is one of it`s two models. Completely extravagant wood selection begins with macassar ebony on back and side panels of the single cut grand auditorium named PS14ce-FLTD. This exclusive type of ebony has beautiful grain and almost rosewood-like tone. Top panel is made of Sinker redwood. This wood is similar to cedar with it`s tonal properties. Top panel is bound in ebony and features a contoured armrest. Sound hole rosette is a single circle made of paua. Bridge section features a standard Taylor ebony bridge with bone saddle and ebony string pins with abalone dots. Electronics installed on this model is Taylor`s famous Expression System. Neck is made of tropical mahogany and has a scarf joint with headstock. Fingerboard on this neck is made of ebony and it features binding made also of ebony. 20 frets come with Nouveau inlays and string nut measures 1.75" in width. Taylor combines gloss and satin finish on this model and hardware installed is plated in gold. Scale length is standard and measures 25-1/2 inches. The MSRP is set at $7,998.
