Every Spring and Summer Taylor Guitars luthiers prepare a range of limited models available only throughout that season. These models are exclusive and come in limited numbers. Limited editions are the perfect opportunity to see some exotic materials or some unique construction solutions. This Spring Taylor brings Cocobolo 800 series, among others, and it consists of 814ce-LTD and 816ce-LTD. 814ce-LTD comes with a grand auditorium shaped body made of cocobolo back and sides with a spruce top. The top is bound in curly maple binding and equipped with a tortoise shell pickguard. Sound hole is adorned with an abalone rosette. This model comes in natural color with satin finish. The bridge comes with a belly shape, ebony string pins and TUSQ saddle. Electronics department features Taylor`s own Expression System with side-mounted controls panel. The neck is made of tropical mahogany and attached to the body with a dovetail joint. Also, one of the special features is the scarf joint of the headstock. The fingerboard on this model is made of ebony and it comes with a set of 20 frets, 800 series inlays and 1.75" wide TUSQ nut. Other features include 25-1/2" scale and golden Taylor tuners. The MSRP for this model is set at $4,498.
