Within the Spring 2010 Taylor introduced the Imbuia 700 series. This series had a basis in already existing 700 series in the regular section of the catalog. The difference is, these models were made with backs and sides of imbuia and koa wood. 716ce-LTD is a grand symphony model and it comes with single cutaway design. These imbuia and koa back and sides are topped with a spruce top. Natural colored body is finished in high gloss and adorned with elegant binding made of Hawaiian koa. Hardware installed on this model is plated in gold. Bridge is made of ebony and it features a standard Taylor shape. Neck is made of mahogany and it features an ebony fingerboard on top. 20 frets, no inlays, 15" radius and 1.75" wide TUSQ nut complete the fingerboard.
