Taylor`s acoustic-electric catalog features several series, starting from 100/200 and ending with 800 and 900. Besides these, there are also specialized series like Koa, Signature and others. 512ce is a model from the intermediate 500 series, which is on the verge of becoming fully luxurious line. It`s name denotes that this model is a concert shaped guitar with cutaway and Taylor`s Expression system electronics. Body back and sides are made of mahogany and the sound board is made of spruce. Top is bound in Indian rosewood binding and equipped with a tortoise shell pickguard. The bridge on this model is made of ebony, which is a standard feature for upscale Taylors. Tropical mahogany neck is topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard. Taylor tuners and 24-7/8" scale complete the specs list.
