For Spring 2012 Taylor comes with a brand new set of Limited Edition models. One of the series featured is 300 Hawaiian Koa which brings 300 series acoustic-electric guitars with koa bodies. This is a rare and exclusive wood with fantastic tonal properties. It`s scarcity makes it very expensive and renders it for the custom shop or limited series use. 314ce-N-LTD is the second of two nylon stringed guitars of the line. It comes with a grand auditorium cutaway body made of Hawaiian koa back and sides with a spruce sound board. Both the back and top panels are bound in black. The top also features a triple circle rosette. There are no pickguards on this model. It comes in natural color with a combination of satin and gloss finish. The bridge comes with ebony string pins and belly shape. In the electronics section 314ce-N-LTD features Taylor Expression System adjusted for the use on nylon-stringed guitars. The neck on this model is made of tropical mahogany and attached to the body with a dovetail joint. On the opposite side of the neck a separate headstock is joined with a scarf joint. Ebony fingerboard comes with 20 frets, dot position inlays and 15" radius. 25-1/2" scale, Taylor chrome plated tuners and TUSQ string nut wrap the specs list. The MSRP is set at $2,898.
