200 series is Taylor`s entry level series and it offers several options for beginners and players who are looking to buy a replacement guitar for their high-end steel-stringer. Besides that, 200 series model are perfect for players who want to get acquainted with Taylor catalog, without spending too much money. For the Fall 2013, Taylor has prepared a limited edition 200 series with two models in it (210ce-FLTD and 214ce-FLTD). 214ce-FLTD is a grand auditorium model with single-cut body, laminated wood construction, 25-1/2" scale, chrome hardware and classic Taylor styling and decorations. Body of this model is made of laminated Indian rosewood back and sides and sitka spruce sound board on the top. Decorations include ivoroid binding, tortoise shell pickguard and triple circle rosette. Bridge on the top is made of ebony and it`s matched with an ebony fingerboard. Electronics department is equipped with a new and improved Expression System made by Taylor. Neck on this model is made of tropical mahogany and it is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard. It features dot inlays and 1-3/4" TUSQ string nut. Taylor has set the MSRP at $1,598.
