For 2013 Takamine introduces a new signature artist, Toby Keith. Toby is one of the most popular county singer-songwriters in past couple of decades and also one of the most productive artists with sixteen albums over past twenty years. He finally gets the recognition he deserves through the gorgeous E250TK, which Takamine proudly represents for NAMM 2013. Takamine makes the EF250TK as an acoustic-electric jumbo guitar with single-cutaway design. Body of this model is made of flamed maple back and sides with solid spruce sound board. Scalloped X bracing beneath the sound board is also made of spruce. Sunburst color scheme is finished in high gloss. Electronics section is equipped with a Takamine palathetic pickup and CT4B II preamp, also made by Takamine. Volume and tone controls, as well as the tuner are featured on the preamp. Neck is made of mahogany and features the standard dovetail joint. It is topped with an ebony fingerboard with 20 frets, parallelogram inlays and 1.67" wide bone nut. Bridge on this model is made of rosewood and it`s equipped with a split bone saddle. Golden hardware and 25-2/5" scale are also featured on this model.
