LTD2013 Peak is one of two models introduced into the Limited Edition series for 2013. It is visually very similar to the LTD2013 SE Peak, but it features a different set of tonewoods. For example, SE Peak is made of solid koa back and sides with bearclaw spruce sound board, while this model features sapele mahogany back and sides with regular spruce sound board. All are solid, of course. LTD2013 Peak comes with a non-cutaway parlor body with 24-4/5" scale. Takamine decorates this model with ivoroid binding and elegant double-circle rosette around the sound hole. Entire body is finished in high gloss and it`s available only in natural color. Bridge section sports a standard-shaped bridge made of rosewood. In the electronics department, situation differs from the LTD2013 SE Peak. SE Peak has Palathetic pickup and TLD preamp, while the LTD2013 Peak has Palathetic pickup in combination with CT4B II preamp. Preamp is mounted on the shoulder of the body. Neck on this model is made of mahogany and it features the standard 12th fret dovetail joint. On it`s top, Takamine installs a 20-fret fingerboard made of rosewood. It also features a unique "Climber" set of inlays.
