GX11ME belongs to the Taka Mini series in Takamine`s G segment. A little play on words, Taka Mini uses the westernized reading of Takamine and splits it in two words to signify the line of guitars of shorter scale. GX11ME is the opening model of the Taka Mini series. It comes with all-mahogany construction (rosewood fingerboard and bridge are the only exceptions), Takamine electronics and modest styling. This 3/4-scaled NEX comes with an all-mahogany body with multi-ply binding, black pickguard and triple-circle rosette. Tone it delivers is warm, loud and rich, with pronounced mids. Mahogany neck and 21-fret rosewood fingerboard complete the chassis of this small six-string. Takamine`s TP-4T preamp is the mainstay of the standard G segment, but is also used in the Mini series. Die-cast tuners wrap the specs list.
