Takamine`s G series is one of two sections of the catalog, along with the Pro series, and it offers budget-friendly range of acoustic and acoustic-electric instruments. Within this G series, there are numerous sub-series, each dedicated to a certain body contour, for example, NEX, Dreadnought, FXC, Jumbo, Mini, Classics and OM. EG345C 12 is an acoustic-electric twelve-stringer from the Dreadnought series. Construction-wise it is n acoustic-electric guitar with TK40 preamp installed onto the shoulder of the body. The body is made of mahogany back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Multi-ply binding, black plastic pickguard and single circle rosette decorate the top. Natural colored body and neck are finished in gloss and tuners are plated in gold. Both the bridge and 20-fret fingerboard are made of rosewood.
