Takamine`s Specialty Shop offers some of the most exclusive guitars from Takamine`s Pro Series section of the catalog. Models of Specialty Shop depend on exotic wood supplies and are not always available. Also, Takamine installs some of the finest hardware options on these models, which are not seen on any other series within the catalog. This particular model, EF450DLX is an NEX-shaped guitar with non-cutaway design and seemingly fully acoustic construction. In fact, TLD preamp is concealed within the body cavity. Body of this model is made of flamed maple back and side panels with spruce sound board on top. Multi-ply binding and vintage-style decorated pickguard decorate the top. Bridge section sports a regular belly-contoured bridge made of ebony. Ebony is also used for the 20-fret fingerboard.
