D model from Rodriguez guitars originates from the Laminadas series and also represents one of the models featured in the Cutaway series. For the admission to Cutaway series, a model must be equipped with single cutaway variant of the body and electronics, as well. Series standard is L.R. Baggs pickup and preamp, both run by a 9v battery. Body of D cutaway is made of rosewood and cedar. Rosewood is used for the back and side panels and it`s covered with a cedar soundboard on the top. Top panel features Indian rosewood binding and classical rosette around the sound hole. Bridge section is equipped with a regular rosewood bridge. Cedar is used once more as the neck wood. Neck is attached with a dovetail joint and topped with a 19-fret ebony fingerboard.
