MM68AX is one of Ovation`s mandolins and it is made in shape of their full sized models. MM68AX is has a cutaway body made of spruce top and composite materials back and sides. It is available in black and cherry cherry color options with glossy finish and custom graphics. The top is bound in white and has distinct Ovation holes instead of a singular central sound hole. The bridge is made of ebony and has white saddle. Amplification is handled through Ovation Mandolin pickup and OP-24+ preamp. The neck on this model is made of mahogany with a v shaped contour and a dovetail joint positioned at the 12th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood with 21 frets, white dot position inlays and a synthetic bone nut.
