Limited Edition Adamas MM80-NWT Mandolin is one of four models introduced for NAMM 2013 And is the only mandolin. It comes with eight-string construction and completely composite body. Walnut is the only major tone wood used on this model. Construction-wise, body of this model is made of two parts of carbon fiber. There`s a bowl in the back, which features the down-sized lyrachord contour and a flat carbon sound board on top. Body is equipped with single cutaway, walnut binding and gorgeous hardwood epaulets. These epaulets traditionally decorate the multiple offset sound holes. Bridge section is equipped with a solid, standard-shaped bridge made of walnut. It features rear load construction. Electronics is equipped with Ovation pickup and preamp. Preamp is installed on the side of the body of this 13-7/8" scaled eight-stringer. Neck is made of walnut and it`s topped with a 22-fret walnut fingerboard. Set of eight Ovation tuning machines is plated in gold and installed in four-a-side pattern.
