Ovation CC49S-VA Review
Celebrity Series Electric Guitar by 'Ovation'
CC49S-VA is a new model for 2012 and it is situated within the Celebrity Series. This guitar is the first Celebrity model to feature multiple sound holes and it was introduced at the NAM 2012 along with the other Ovation novelties. CC49S-VA is an acoustic-electric model with a dreadnought-cutaway shape and deep contour. The body of this model consists of a composite back and sides and a solid spruce top. The top is available in vintage amber burst color with gloss finish and abalone binding. Sound holes are adorned with epaulettes made of solid hardwood. The bridge on this model is made of rosewood and features a belly shape and a white saddle. Amplification of this first ever multiple sound hole celebrity is taken care of by Ovation Slimline under-saddle pickup and Ovation OP-4BT preamp with control panel mounted onto the side of the guitar. The neck is made of nato wood with a dovetail joint positioned at the 14th fret. The fingerboard matches the bridge and is made of rosewood with 22 frets and small dot position inlays. 25-1/4" scale length and Modified Quintad bracing pattern complete the list of specs for CC49S-VA.
