Laminated tonewoods and mortise and tenon neck joints are the main characteristics of Martin`s X series models. DXK2AE is one of the few models in the line to feature a solid top, it is made of spruce and paired with koa patterned high pressure laminate back and sides. It is available in natural gloss finish with no binding and no pickguard. The bridge on this model is made of black richlite with belly shape, white pins and plastic saddle. Fishman Sonitone preamp is in charge of the amplification for this model. The neck is made of natural stratabond with an oval contour and mortise and tenon joint. The fingerboard is made of black richlite with 20 frets, no inlays and 1.6875" wide corian nut. The list price for this dreadnought is set at $669.
