D-45 Fire & Ice is one very special steel-stringer. Officially, only one Fire & Ice guitar (w/Chris Martin & Harvey Leach signatures) will be built but Martin will take special orders. The list price of $39.999.00 guarantees the ultimate exclusivity, as well as impeccable build & tone quality. Solid Madagascar rosewood`s been used for body back & sides, while the top is made of top-grade Engelmann spruce w/heavy bearclaw pattern. Antique binding, abalone rosette, Fire & Ice bridge accents, and Fire & Ice pickguard complete the body styling. The neck`s made of genuine mahogany and sports a 20-fret ebony fingerboard on top, as well as an ice-colored headstock (the inlay stretches all the way to the 7th fret). The fingerboard has usual dot inlays, though the fire inlay covers all frets from 12 and above. Electronics are optional.
