D-40 Koa Deluxe is a luxurious dreadnought from the Limited Editions series of acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars made by Martin. It comes with a non-cutaway body made of solid koa back and sides with solid spruce sound board on top. Rich decorations on this model begin with abalone binding and abalone rosette around the sound board. Tree of Life is the main graphical motif of D-40 Koa Deluxe. Tree of Life inlays are found on pickguard, bridge, fingerboard and headstock. This model is only available in natural color with high gloss finish applied over the body and neck. Bridge section is equipped with a classic belly bridge made of ebony. Mahogany neck is V-contoured and topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with Tree of Life inlays. Waverly tuners are plated in gold.
