The top panel is bound in tortoise shell binding and equipped with teardrop-shaped tortoise pickguard. Bridge on this model is made of ebony and it comes with a standard belly shape. Electronics are omitted from the specs list for D-12 David Crosby model. The neck is made of hard rock maple and it features low profile contour. It is topped with a 20-fret ebony fingerboard.
