Talman Series from Ibanez is envisioned as the alternative for electric guitar players who want to play acoustic, but are not ready to give up on the comfort electrics give. With that kind of guidelines in mind, Ibanez luthiers have worked hard and with dedication, creating what is today known as Talman series. It contains acoustic and acoustic electric guitars with double cutaway design. Construction-wise they feature dovetail neck joints. TCY47OPN is a brand new Talman introduced for fall 2012. It comes with a fully hollow body made entirely of mahogany. Back, sides, sound board and neck are made of mahogany. Top panel of the body is bound in creme binding and equipped with marquetry rosette around the sound hole. Bridge section is equipped with a modern belly-contoured bridge made of rosewood. String saddle is made of ivorex and Advantage pins are installed behind it. Amplification duties are entrusted to Fishman electronics. Sonitone preamp and Sonicore pickup are combined on this Talman. Neck is made of mahogany and it features a regular 14th fret dovetail joint. Standard contour and open pore finish are applied in the back. This neck is topped with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard. Dot inlays, 12" radius and 1.69" wide ivorex II saddle comprise the fingerboard specs. Tuners are die-cast Ibanez with chrome plating and scale measures 25-1/2" in length.
