AEW series` trademark feature is heavy use of exotic tonewoods in the construction of its models. Also, AEW guitars come in the distinctive AEW shape with thinner sides and each model features a custom designed rosette. AEW15LTD1 is an affordable, exotic and surprisingly good sounding guitar. It comes, just like the rest of the AEW babies, with a single cut body (soft Florentine cutaway), series-standard neck (attached at the 14th fret) and high quality electronics and hardware. Back and sides of AEW15LTD1`s body are made of laminated flamed maple while the sound board position remains reserved for spruce. Maple binding around the edges of the top adds a touch of class, but the star of the show is simply breath-taking mosaic rosette around the sound hole made completely of small pieces of wood. Maple neck is attached at the 14th fret and features a 20-fret ebony fingerboard on top. Narrow string nut (1.65") and short radius (9.84") combined with a deep cutaway make AEW15LTD1 suitable for both the rhythm and lead players. Fishman`s Sonicore pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp (volume, tone controls, on -board tuner) set new standards for amplified tone in $500 class. Ebony bridge and die-cast tuners complete this awesome AEW.
