The new 2018 AE series lineup is made of seven brand new models, with AE800 being the new top cat of the range, and 245 models representing the budget-friendly section. AE2412 is the series` only currently available twelve-stringer; it`s a flat-top axe based on the six-stringed AE245, but with an extra set of strings. The color palette is limited to Natural High Gloss (w/custom-designed inlays, chrome-plated hardware, multi-layered binding, black plastics). Core construction features include a single-cut AE body (mahogany back/sides/top, tortoise pickguard, abalone rosette), a mahogany neck (AE profile, satin finish), a 20-fret fingerboard made of ovngkol (25.6" scale, 1.89" bone nut, 15.75" radius), an ovangkol bridge, Ibanez T-Bar pickup (w/external preamp), and die-cast tuners.
