Orsa series, named after a town near Hagstrom`s main facilities, is a line of acoustic and acoustic-electric steel-string guitars. The series lineup relies heavily on ovangkol, a mahogany substitute tonewood sourced from controlled forests. Also, the acoustic-electric models come equipped with Fishman pickups and preamps (Isys Plus 301 preamp w/ onboard tuner). The current lineup consists of two dreadnought and two grand auditorium models. Orsa Dreadnought CE is the acoustic-electric dread option. It comes with a single-cut dreadnought body (laminated ovangkol back & sides, solid Sitka spruce soundboard), mahogany neck (smooth profile, 14th fret dovetail joint), 20-fret fingerboard made of Resinator (oval inlays, TUSQ string nut, 24-3/4" scale, medium jumbo frets), fixed resinator bridge, and Hagstrom tuners. Hagstrom sells this one only in Natural Gloss finish.
