Guild is one of the top manufacturers when it comes to acoustic and acoustic-electric guitars. Their catalog consists of a wide range of models which range from budget friendly models to custom shop and boutique quality instruments. Their Contemporary series features CO-2 model, an orchestra sized guitar with no cutaways. Body is made of mahogany back and sides with spruce top. Sound board is bound in white binding and equipped with a double circle rosette. Ebony bridge sports a belly shape, white string pins and bone saddle. Neck on this model is made of one piece of mahogany. It sports a standard contour and bolted neck. Bolt-on joint is far more common feature for electric guitars, than it is for acoustics. This neck is topped with a 20-fret fingerboard made of ebony.
