The Rancher Series was first introduced back in the '50s and it became an instant classic with it`s great sound and outstanding triangular sound hole. Today, the line is revived, updated and released for the new 2012 season with five models in it. This one, the Jr model starts off with a laminated mahogany back and sides and laminated spruce top. This flat top has an orchestra shape with a Venetian cutaway and black binding around the top. On the top, there is a stylish tortoise pickguard and a traditional triangular sound hole. Rancher Jr comes only in natural color with polyester gloss finish. The bridge is made of rosewood and equipped with a compensated synthetic bone saddle and white pins. The electronics consist of Fishman Isys under-saddle piezo pickup and a preamp. The preamp has a side-mounted control panel with volume, bass, treble, phase controls, on-board tuner and battery life indicator. The neck is made of mahogany and is attached to the body at the 14th fret. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 21 frets and neo-classic thumbnail position inlays. Synthetic bone nut is 1.6875" wide and the scale is 25" long. Nickel hardware and die-cast tuners wrap the spec. The MSRP for G5013 Rancher Jr is set at $550.
