Gibson Hummingbird Artist is slightly different in shape then the rest of the Hummingbird family with a little bit rounder shoulders. This model also starts with solid spruce top and solid mahogany back and sides. Multy-ply creme binding and washed heritage cherry sunburst are accompanied by a pickguard non standard for the series. The bridge is made of rosewood and sports the belly-up shape. This model is amplified through L.R. Baggs Active Element acoustic pickup with a volume knob installed inside the sound hole. The neck is made of mahogany and features a rounded profile and dovetail joint at the 14th fret. Rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 20 frets and mother of pearl parallelogram inlays. 24-3/4" scale, 1.725" wide nut and gold plated Gotoh tuners complete the spec. This model costs around $2000.
