As Fender`s most popular acoustic signature artist, Tim Armstrong has a special place in the catalog with his numerous Hellcats. The latest update of the Hellcat series is the white-clad Tim Armstrong HC introduced at 2015 NAMM. This affordable acoustic-electric comes with a non-cutaway concert body made of mahogany in its entirety (a quite common feature for the Hellcat range). Laminated mahogany is featured on the sides and in the back, while the sound board is made of solid mahogany. Ghost White with black rosette, tortoise shell pickguard and black Viking bridge is the only color scheme offered with this `Cat. Rosewood-made Viking bridge rocks the classic contour and a compensated NuBone saddle on the top. Electronics department on this model is fit with a fantastic Fishman Isys III system with on-board tuner and preamp. Neck is made of maple and is fit with the standard C profile in the back (neck is, just like the body, finished in urethane satin). On its top, there is a 19-fret (yes, that`s 19 frets, one fret less than the steel-string standard 20) fingerboard made of bound rosewood. Hellcat inlays with cat paws inlay at the 12th fret mark the vintage-sized frets. Fender`s tuners wrap up the specs list for the affordable Tim Armstrong HC.
