Fender`s new California series lineup boasts three price levels (Player, Special, Classic) and three original Fender body designs (Malibu, Redondo, Newporter). Each tier has three models and every body shape is present in every tier, which brings us to the total number of nine models. Redondo Classic is the most expensive Redondo option, coming in at $799.99. Main features include all-solid body construction, super-fast neck w/14th fret dovetail joint, Fender/Fishman electronics, and Fender`s in-house hardware. Cosmic Turquoise and Hot Rod Red Metallic are the names of two available color options (both have painted headstocks, gloss finishes, chrome hardware). Other notable features include solid mahogany back/sides, solid Sitka spruce soundboard, solid mahogany neck w/slim taper C profile, 20-fret pau ferro fingerboard, pau ferro bridge, and Fender tuners.
