Mando-Strat model marks the return of the electric mandolin from the 1950s and at the same time, represents the most important update of the Folk series in the Fender catalog. This model comes with a solid body, made with the mix of Strat and mandolin features. Double-cutaway is paired with wider waist and round bottom. Of course, the body is smaller than on the regular Stratocaster. It is made of alder and features no top wood covers. Body of this model is flat on the top and has no binding. However, Fender installs a tortoise shell pickguard on the Mando Strat. There`s only one color option available for this model, it is Three Tone Sunburst with high gloss finish. Bridge section on this model is equipped with a vintage-styled bridge with two saddles and top-load construction. Only one pickup is featured in the front and it is a passive single coil with master volume and master tone knobs. This classy four-stringer is equipped with a maple neck with C contour in the back. On it`s top Fender installs a standard 24-fret rosewood fingerboard. Dot inlays, 7.25" radius and 1.18" string nut complete the fingerboard. Mando Strat also features Fender tuners and 14.78" scale.
